This article addresses the construction of a discourse community through Coca-Cola advertising, and the modifications in its persuasive discourse during the COVID-19 pandemic. Firstly, five advertisements broadcasted during the pandemic are analyzed. Subsequently, the discursive features shared by these works are delimited, which reveal the intensification of the mythical discourse, already present in a moderate way in previous campaigns. This fact allows us to fully evaluate this series of advertisements in the light of Gilbert Durand’s theories. From the formal perspective, it allows us to explain the processes of reelaboration that operate on the discursive memory present in this corpus, such as those that occur in the identification of the brand with happiness. From the referential point of view, it allows the presence of culturally recurrent symbols to be contextualized, which, influenced by circumstances, take the form of what we call the Resilience Halo.

This paper explores the causes behind quantitative differences in adults’ performance on lexical availability tasks. To achieve this goal, the production of 144 adult informants divided into three different age groups is analysed. Age-related differences in averages per informant are examined and lexical retrieval strategies are analysed on the basis of two indices: mean cluster size and switches between clusters. Results and statistical analyses align with previous find-ings showing that age leads to a decrease in the average number of words per informant, which is always significant in contrast with the older group of adults. Furthermore, the association between the informants’ quan-titative performance on tests and the afore-mentioned retrieval strategies is confirmed as well as the influence of age on them. These results are in line with other findings in cog-nitive psychology.

<summary type="text">Female roles in La Cinta Dorada by María Manuela Reina and models of the world
Aguilar López, Ana María; Miguel Borge, Marta
Our model of the world that we perceive within ourselves, our conscience, in short, our psychological balance is influenced by our surroundings. Part of the input to which we are exposed in this immediate environment is related to texts, self-managed discourse, which can also influence our internal model of the world; hence they are deserving of our attention. In the same way as the models of the world that we construct throughout our lives, reality is not static and also changes as time goes by. From a social point of view, we can see that the roles of women in modern-day society and the ways that those roles can be perceived today are a consequence of changes initiated in the past within different areas and in a prolonged process over time up until our day. With the aim of evaluating whether female drama has contributed to that change, we present an analysis in this paper of the play La Cinta Dorada [The Golden Ribbon] by María Manuela Reina, written and set in the 1980s, a decade that for Spain implied a more obvious abandonment of the most traditional conceptions of the role of women. In the analysis of the play, we see how the models of the world of the older people are counterposed with those of the younger people, a generational divide that is enriched with the gender difference, as we also analyze how the psychological structures of the female and male characters confront the clichés pertaining to another era in reference to such topics as success, infidelity, matrimony, and gender. The results of our analysis demonstrate how Reina responds to archaic conceptions, thereby inciting the audiences of the day to question their respective models of the world, especially, with regard to the role of the woman in society.

<summary type="text">Textos afro-hispanos para la clase de ELE: una mirada decolonial a la figura materna a partir de la lectura de "La bastarda" de Trifonia Melibea Obono
Saiz Mingo, Ariadna
En este estudio partimos de la exposición a dos textos literarios&#13;
extraídos de la novela La bastarda (2016), de la escritora&#13;
ecuatoguineana Trifonia Melibea Obono, como activadores de&#13;
evocaciones singulares en torno a la figura de la madre africana&#13;
desde la mirada del alumnado marfileño que estudia español&#13;
como lengua extranjera en la Universidad de Cocody (Costa de&#13;
Marfil). Tras la lectura de los textos, y con el fin de potenciar las&#13;
destrezas productivas de los estudiantes, se recogieron 36&#13;
composiciones en las que se describe la figura materna desde su&#13;
mirada émica. Basándonos en la idea de hibridación de Homi K.&#13;
Bhabha como "el paso intersticial entre identificaciones fijas [que]&#13;
abre la posibilidad de una hibridación cultural que entretenga la&#13;
diferencia sin una jerarquía asumida o impuesta" (6), con nuestro&#13;
estudio nos encontramos matices testimoniales en torno a la&#13;
maternidad en África que reflejan la diversidad de culturas que&#13;
afloran en el aula, desafiando etiquetas fijas y establecidas a priori.; This study is based on the experience of lvorian students of&#13;
Spanish as a Foreign. Language at the University of Cocody who&#13;
read two excerpts from the novel La bastarda (2016), by the&#13;
Equatorial Guinean writer Trifonia Melibea Obono. Reading the&#13;
texts triggered unique responses from the students regarding the&#13;
concept of motherhood in Africa. The students compared the&#13;
literary representations in the excerpts with their own experiences&#13;
and ideas in assigned compositions. We analyzed the 36&#13;
compositions written by the students to examine how they&#13;
conceive of the mother figure. Basing our study on Homi K.&#13;
Bhabha's idea of hybridity as "the interstitial passage between fixed&#13;
identifications [that] opens the possibility of a cultural hybridity&#13;
that entertains difference without an assumed or imposed&#13;
hierarchy" (6), we explore the testimonial nuances around the&#13;
notion of motherhood in Africa and affirm the diversity of cultures&#13;
in the classroom that challenge fixed and dominant preconceptions.
