Literatura peruana: de las raíces indígenas al Barroco

Abstract

La literatura peruana tiene una larga historia que comienza en la oralidad indígena y llega hasta nuestros días. La base fundamental de esta literatura la encontramos en el mundo precolombino, en las raíces indígenas; pero no hay que olvidar que Perú es una nación constituida por el mestizaje. Por eso, resulta interesante conocer la etapa en la que se unieron la cultura indígena y la española formando un nexo común que dio lugar a una expresión artística muy característica: El estilo colonial. Este artículo trata sobre la literatura en estas épocas fundamentales y pone de relevancia los escritores más destacados de cada uno de estos momentos literarios.
