La presente investigación histórico-educativa aborda el impacto que la labor instructiva del Círculo Católico de Obreros ha tenido para Burgos, desde la fundación de sus primeras Escuelas infantiles (1911), hasta la actualidad.
Atendiendo a criterios organizativos y didácticos, se ha periodizado su evolución en cuatro grandes períodos: antecedentes y contexto de los colegios, génesis de los mismos, transformación, unificación –organizativa y física–, y en épocas más recientes, su adaptación estratégica.
En la estructura del trabajo se refleja la evolución socioeducativa de nuestra ciudad, el interés de la centenaria institución por ofrecer, en las mejores condiciones posibles, una formación adaptada a las necesidades de cada momento histórico, el esfuerzo de un importante número de personas e instituciones que han ido apoyando e impulsando este ambicioso proyecto, la incidencia de la legislación educativa, los retos que se han tenido que afrontar y la situación actual de aquel proyecto cien años después. _________________________________ The current research shows, from the analysis of the documentation that has been found, the importance the Círculo Católico de Obreros’ educational task has had over the city of Burgos, from the foundation of its first primary schools in 1911 to the present (2011).
Following organizational and didactic criteria, the evolution has been divided in four big periods: record and context of the schools, their genesis, transformation, unification -organizational and physical-, and its strategic adjustment, in more recent times.
The structure of the work reflects the social-educative evolution of our city, the centenary institution’s interest to offer -in the best conditions as possible- a formation adapted to the needs in each historic moment, the effort of many people and institutions that have supported and drived this ambitious project, the impact of the educational legislation, the challenges that have been overcome and the present situation of that project, a hundred years later.
