La influencia de los Objetivos de Desarrollo Sostenible en el sistema educativo ofrece la
posibilidad de plantear nuevos enfoques didácticos orientados a la formación de una
sociedad comprometida con el progreso y con el medio ambiente. Las ciudades son el
principal escenario de las políticas sostenibles que velan por la mejora de las condiciones
de vida de la sociedad del futuro. Cuestiones como la movilidad sostenible y la
responsabilidad social hacia el cambio climático, iniciativas que emanan de los
compromisos de la Agenda 2030, son objeto de debate en la actualidad y se han
posicionado en el foco mediático de ciudades medias como Burgos. En este Trabajo de
Fin de Máster, realizado en el contexto del Máster en Profesor ofertado por la Universidad
de Burgos, se describe una propuesta educativa orientada a alumnos de Geografía de 2º
de Bachillerato. Su objetivo es descubrir la evolución reciente de la ciudad de Burgos a
través del desarrollo de una conciencia urbana sostenible. En esta propuesta de innovación
educativa se plantea la aplicación de metodologías activas como el Aprendizaje Basado
en Problemas, técnica que favorece la integración de los alumnos en el aula y fomenta la
motivación e interés del alumnado por comprender los problemas o retos que existen en
su vida cotidiana.
The influence of the Sustainable Development Goals on the educational system offers the
possibility of proposing new didactic approaches aimed at forming a society committed
to progress and the environment. Cities are the main stage for sustainable policies that
ensure the improvement of living conditions for the society of the future. Issues such as
sustainable mobility and social responsibility towards climate change, initiatives
stemming from the commitments of the 2030 Agenda, are currently under discussion and
have been spotlighted in the media focus in intermediate cities like Burgos. In this
Master`s thesis, carried out in the context of the Master´s degree in teaching offered by
the University of Burgos, is described an educational proposal for Geography students of
2nd year of baccalaureate. Its objective is to discover the recent evolution of the city of
Burgos through the development of a sustainable urban awareness. This educational
proposal suggests the application of active methodologies such as Problem-Based
Learning, a technique that promotes student integration in the classroom. Additionally,
this methodology encourages the student`s motivation to understand the problems or
challenges that exist in their daily lives.
