<dim:field mdschema="dc" element="description" qualifier="abstract" lang="es">La arqueología cognitiva intenta acceder a los procesos mentales de aquellos individuos extintos a través de&#xd;
su cultura material. Las herramientas líticas representan la mayor parte de esta cultura material para el Paleolítico inferior. La complejidad humana está fuertemente ligada a su inteligencia y esta, a su vez, al sistema&#xd;
atencional. Este trabajo se basa en el análisis de la atención fásica en 46 individuos adultos, durante la manipulación de 21 herramientas líticas diferentes, hasta alcanzar una posición confortable. Para esto se realizó el&#xd;
conteo de picos de respuesta electrodermal durante el tiempo total de la exploración háptica para cada sesión&#xd;
y se compararon resultados por tipología lítica. Se observó una respuesta diferencial para las herramientas de&#xd;
tipo achelense cuya causa estaría vinculada a la mayor complejidad técnica de esta tipología.</dim:field>
<dim:field mdschema="dc" element="description" qualifier="abstract" lang="en">Cognitive archaeology seeks to access the mental processes of extinct individuals through their material culture. Lithic tools represent the majority of this material culture for the Lower Paleolithic. Human complexity&#xd;
is strongly linked to intelligence, which in turn is connected to the attentional system. This study is based on&#xd;
the analysis of phasic attention in 46 adult individuals during the manipulation of 21 different lithic tools until&#xd;
reaching a comfortable position. To do this, the counting of peaks of electrodermal response was carried out&#xd;
during the total time of haptic exploration for each session, and the results were compared by lithic typology.&#xd;
A differential response was observed for Acheulean-type tools which is likely due to the greater technical&#xd;
complexity of this typology.</dim:field>
