<subfield code="a">Until recently, the memory effect was believed to be absent in Li-ion battery materials. Here, the memory effect is clearly observed in anatase TiO2 nanoparticles when they are used as the negative electrode material in Li-ion batteries. Additionally, the memory effect strongly decreases with increasing specific surface area of the TiO2 sample.</subfield>
