El primero se centró en su origen e inicial despliegue durante la Prehistoria Reciente. El segundo en su devenir bajo los sistemas estatales que se han sucedido desde la Edad del Hierro a la Edad Media. La experiencia acumulada permite reflexionar sobre el proceso investigador realizado y las nuevas perspectivas que se plantean a causa de la renovación metodológica. During the last 15 years, two cycles of research have been carried out to study the rural/peasant communities of a specific sector of the Spanish Northern Plateau. The first one was focused on their origin and initial expansion during recent Prehistoric times. The second one addressed their development under the state systems that have succeeded each other from the Iron Age to the Middle Ages.
