<dim:field mdschema="dc" element="description" qualifier="abstract" lang="es">Este estudio analiza los procesos migratorios mediante las voces de los migrantes venezolanos en Santiago de Chile, resaltando sus experiencias y la influencia del contexto social e histórico. Se busca caracterizar la formación universitaria de estos migrantes, poniendo énfasis en elementos del currículo oculto y las fortalezas de sus profesionales en el país. Se emplearon datos cuantitativos de varias plataformas internacionales, nacionales y regionales, además de información cualitativa obtenida a partir de la participación de informantes clave y la intervención del investigador. Las conclusiones indican que la educación universitaria venezolana fomenta habilidades prácticas y valores cívicos, además de conocimientos técnicos, que son esenciales para resolver problemas laborales en Chile. También se destaca que el desarrollo integral de la personalidad del migrante universitario aporta positivamente a las organizaciones laborales en Santiago, promoviendo un desempeño profesional comprometido y una productividad significativa en un contexto migratorio</dim:field>
<dim:field mdschema="dc" element="description" qualifier="abstract" lang="en">This study explores the experiences of Venezuelan university graduates living in Santiago, Chile, emphasizing the importance of listening to migrants’ voices within their historical and social contexts. It examines how the “hidden curriculum” — the unspoken values and lessons learned during their education — has shaped their skills and identities. Using both quantitative data from international and national sources and qualitative data from interviews and fieldwork, the research highlights two main findings. First, Venezuelan higher education fosters not only technical expertise but also practical skills and civic values that are essential for solving workplace challenges. Second, this holistic educational approach contributes to the personal and professional growth of migrants, allowing them to integrate and perform effectively in Chilean organizations. Their strong social commitment enhances their productivity and professionalism, making them valuable contributors in the labor market of Santiago. Overall, the study underscores the positive impact of Venezuelan migrant professionals in Chile’s workforce</dim:field>
