La presente tesis analiza la ansiedad ante los exámenes en estudiantes universitarios
mediante dos investigaciones complementarias. La primera evalúa la eficacia de un
programa de control de ansiedad en dos versiones: una extensa (CAE Largo) y su
abreviación (CAE Breve). Los resultados muestran que ambas intervenciones reducen
significativamente la ansiedad general y la ansiedad ante exámenes, sin diferencias
relevantes en eficacia o satisfacción, destacando especialmente los componentes
cognitivos. La segunda investigación compara tres modalidades de desensibilización
sistemática para la reducción de la ansiedad ante exámenes: vídeos 360º, realidad
virtual e imaginación guiada. Aunque las tres reducen la ansiedad, los vídeos 360º
obtuvieron mejores resultados en eficacia, satisfacción y sensación de presencia. En
conjunto, la tesis concluye que una intervención breve con componentes esenciales
puede ser suficiente y que los vídeos 360º representan una alternativa terapéutica
eficaz, accesible y bien aceptada para tratar la ansiedad ante los exámenes
This thesis examines test anxiety among university students through two complementary
studies. The first study evaluates the effectiveness of an anxiety management program
in two formats: a full-length version (Long CAE) and its abbreviated version (Brief CAE).
The results indicate that both interventions significantly reduce general anxiety and test
anxiety, with no relevant differences in effectiveness or satisfaction, highlighting
particularly the contribution of cognitive components. The second study compares three
systematic desensitization modalities for reducing test anxiety: 360º videos, virtual
reality, and guided imagery. Although all three modalities reduced anxiety levels, 360º
videos yielded superior outcomes in terms of effectiveness, satisfaction, and sense of
presence. Overall, the thesis concludes that a brief intervention preserving the essential
components of the original program may be sufficient and that 360º videos constitute an
effective, accessible, and well-accepted therapeutic alternative for the treatment of test
anxiety
