La investigación desarrollada en esta tesis estuvo orientada a analizar, en profundidad, las situaciones de aprendizaje que acontecen en el aula cuando se enseña el concepto de campo eléctrico en las distintas actividades que se desarrollan en el aula. Se buscó profundizar en cuestiones relacionadas con la comprensión de este concepto y el rendimiento de los estudiantes en los exámenes y, en función de los resultados, estudiar la efectividad de una propuesta de intervención didáctica.
Se adoptó como marco la TAS de Ausubel y Novak, conjuntamente con la TMM de Johnson-Laird y la TCC de Vergnaud y se recurrió a los aportes de los fundamentos epistemológicos de la ciencia y sus implicaciones didácticas.
Los resultados alcanzados en esta investigación pretenden ser un aporte en la toma de decisiones de futuras propuestas curriculares y didácticas que tengan en cuenta el concepto de campo eléctrico como eje a nivel de los contenidos, de las secuencias de ellos y de los sistemas de evaluación a utilizar. ___________________________________ The author’s experience in college teaching has allowed for acknowledging the lasting reiteration of failures in a group of students when solving examination problems, in which the concept of electric field is relevant. Even among those who come up with satisfactory answers, it is quite common to notice that in their verbal explanation of these solutions they seem to adequately apply formal structures though without granting any physical meaning to the concepts they have used.
The Theory of Meaningful Learning, by Ausubel and Novak, the Theory of Mental Models, by Johnson-Laird, and the Theory of Conceptual Fields, by Vergnaud, constitute the theoretical framework of this thesis. Contributions stemmed from epistemological foundations of science together with their pedagogical implications have been also applied.
Research findings of this study intend to contribute to decision making in relation to future curricular and pedagogical proposals that consider the concept of electric field as an axis in reference to contents, their sequencing, and to the evaluation systems to be used.
