La responsabilidad social del consumidor en la compra de bienes de consumo abarca una muy amplia variedad de sectores, por lo que este trabajo se ha centrado exclusivamente en el análisis de la sensibilidad del distribuidor y consumidor a la compra de alimentos éticamente responsables en España, haciendo especial hincapié en los productos con certificado Fairtrade. Un primer estudio sobre estos productos ha mostrado cómo las ventas en España se han incrementado durante los últimos años, sin embargo, aún distan de las elevadas cifras alcanzadas en gran parte de Europa. Con el siguiente trabajo se pretende dar respuesta a esa diferencia y proporcionar información acerca del perfil del consumidor de alimentos éticamente responsables para facilitar la realización de campañas de promoción y sensibilización por parte de las organizaciones promotoras, así como el desarrollo de una serie de estrategias que permitan incluir dichos alimentos en la oferta de establecimientos del canal HORECA
Consumer’s social responsibility in the purchase of consumer goods encompasses a broad variety of sectors, so that this project has focused exclusively on the analysis of the sensitivity of the distributor and the consumer to de acquisition of ethically responsible food in Spain, paying special attention to the products with the Fairtrade certification. A first study about this kind of products has shown how the sales in Spain have grown during the last years. However, they are still far away from the large numbers reached in a big part of Europe. With the following project, it is intended to give an explanation to that difference and to provide information about the consumer of ethically responsible food’s profile in order to ease the creation of promotion and sensitization campaigns by the promoting organizations. And to develop a couple of strategies which allows including that type of aliments in the offer of the establishments of the Hotel and Catering Industry.
