Percepciones y prácticas del profesorado ante la diversidad cultural: análisis de un centro de Educación Secundaria en la ciudad de Burgos Sáenz Romero, Amaia Fernández Malanda, Dolores En este trabajo de investigación se presentan las percepciones y prácticas del profesorado ante el alumnado de origen inmigrante en un centro de Educación Secundaria de la ciudad de Burgos. Se trata de un estudio cualitativo con enfoque etnográfico a través de entrevistas a 11 profesores y profesoras del centro. Se incide en tres cuestiones fundamentales: la percepción del profesorado ante el alumnado de origen inmigrante, las prácticas docentes para la atención a la diversidad cultural y las necesidades formativas del profesorado en el ámbito de la Educación Intercultural. Los resultados obtenidos abren un debate acerca de la presencia de prejuicios y estereotipos en función de los países de origen del alumnado. Asimismo, existe una tendencia entre el profesorado a concebir la convivencia intercultural en términos de aculturación y asimilación de la cultura autóctona. La investigación resalta la necesidad de formación permanente del profesorado en competencias interculturales. This research presents teacher perceptions and practices towards migrant students in a Secondary School in the city of Burgos. It is a qualitative study with an ethnographic focus, carried out through interviews to 11 school teachers. This work addresses three fundamental questions: teacher perception of migrant students, teaching practice for the attention to cultural diversity and teaching training needs regarding intercultural education. The obtained results open up a debate around the existence of prejudices and stereotypes based on the student’s country of origin. Additionally, there is a trend towards understanding intercultural cohabitation in terms of acculturation and native culture assimilation.
