<dim:field mdschema="dc" element="description" qualifier="abstract" lang="es">El ferrocarril tuvo su origen a mediados del s. XIX en Inglaterra. Concebido e ideado como un novedoso&#xd;
sistema de transporte, contribuyó al desarrollo de muchos territorios y al cambio en sus dinámicas económicas y&#xd;
sociales. De este modo, poco a poco se fue expandiendo por toda Europa y, paralelo a su desarrollo, estuvo&#xd;
acompañado de una preocupación e interés instantáneos por su imagen en los medios, tanto a nivel nacional como&#xd;
internacional. Se forjará así una imagen a medio camino entre el misticismo, la modernidad y los problemas que&#xd;
representaba su precaria y lenta transformación tecnológica. Más allá de estas connotaciones, el ferrocarril también se&#xd;
reflejará como un hecho mediático en obras pictóricas y literarias que con frecuencia evocarán paisajes idílicos y&#xd;
diversos.</dim:field>
<dim:field mdschema="dc" element="description" qualifier="abstract" lang="en">The railway had its origin in the middle of the s. XIX in England. Conceived and devised as a novel&#xd;
transportation system, it contributed to the development of many territories and to the change in their economic and&#xd;
social dynamics. In this way, little by little it was expanding throughout Europe and parallel to its development was&#xd;
accompanied by an instant concern and interest in its image in the media, both nationally and internationally .In this&#xd;
way, an image will be forged halfway between mysticism, modernity and the problems represented by its precarious and&#xd;
slow technological transformation. Beyond these connotations, the railway will also be reflected as a media event in&#xd;
pictorial and literary works that frequently evoke idyllic and diverse landscapes.</dim:field>
