Este hecho tuvo una serie de consecuencias que marcó a toda una generación de españoles y a sus descendientes. En la actualidad, existen asociaciones y museos que luchan por la preservación de la memoria de los que ya no están, así como profesores y artistas que has contribuido a la causa. La película y cómic Josep se ha convertido en el recurso perfecto para introducir este sujeto en las aulas francesas y españolas. En este trabajo, se ha propuesto una UD dirigida a descendientes de exiliados y cuya lengua de herencia es el español, con el fin de despertar su reflexión y conciencia sobre la memoria histórica en futuras generaciones. Para ello, se ha utilizado el cómic Josep (2020) y su película homónima como base de la UD, ya que su argumento e imágenes ayudan al alumno a acercarse a la historia de sus ascendientes y a desarrollar sus capacidades orales y escritas en español. Por otra parte, se aboga en este estudio por el enriquecimiento del alumnado francés que no detenta el español como lengua de herencia, pero que compartirá, como un contenido más, el interés por esta época de la historia reciente de la cultura meta en territorio local. La Retirada, an expression that comes from Spanish and Catalan languages, had a new meaning in the history of France and Spain after the exile of half million of Republican to the south of French in 1939. This historical event had various consequences that impacted an entire generation of Spaniards and their descendants. Currently, there are some associations and museums that fight for the preservation of the memory of those who are gone and also several teachers and artists whose work served the cause. In fact, the film and comic “Josep” has became a prefect educational resource to introduce this topic in French and Spanish classes. In this work, it proposes a teaching unit aimed at students with exiled families and Spanish as their heritage language in order to encourage their thinking and awareness about the historical memory in future generations. To this end, the comic “Josep” has been used as a starting point for learning given that its plot and images help the students to know the history of their ancestors and develop their Spanish speaking and writing skills.
