facultades.

The objective of this research is to propose a model for measuring university social
responsibility. For this purpose, a survey was applied to workers, teachers and students
of the State Technical University of Quevedo (UTEQ), through a questionnaire adapted
from the one developed by URSULA (Vallaeys, 2021). Likewise, the USR-URSULA
self-diagnosis matrix (Vallaeys et al., 2021) was used to collect information from the
authorities and directors of the UTEQ. Both instruments measure the 12 goals of the
URSULA model, which assess the four dimensions of university social responsibility:
organizational management, education, cognition and social participation. In the case of
workers, the means were used for the evaluations of the three goals of the organizational
management dimension. For the analysis of the goals from the perspective of teachers
and students, a factorial analysis of principal components was applied. The results were
used to calculate indicators for each of the goals of the model and to calculate a global
indicator of university social responsibility. The results show a high reliability of the
measuring instrument. The descriptive analysis of the indicators showed that there is a
discrepancy between the diagnosis made by the authorities and managers and the
perspective of the workers, teachers and students. Additionally, the Mann-Whitney U test
identified the existence of significant differences in the global indicator of university
social responsibility.
