La Calzadilla, por ser el único yacimiento excavado con intensidad, ofrece datos muy reveladores sobre la práctica de rituales votivos y de enterramiento de marcado carácter indígena y de la incorporación de elementos de vajilla foráneos en la primera mitad del primer siglo de la Era. The surveying that we have carried out in a sector of the provinces of Valladolid and Segovia between the rivers Adaja and Eresma, together with the data collected from the sites of La Calzadilla (Roman Villa of Almenara de Adaja-Puras) and Las Corralizas-San Pelayo (Bocigas), allow us to study in greater detail the evolution of settlement in the transition from the Vaccean period to the High Roman Empire in that interfluve and in a wider area of the southern Douro countryside, which reflects a slightly more complex outlook than that established up to now.
