Related publication The related article has been sent to: ACS Applied Materials and Interfaces METHODOLOGICAL INFORMATION -------------------------- The polymers' thermal and mechanical characterization was performed by: a) thermogravimetric analysis (Q50 TGA analyzer, TA Instruments) with around 5 mg of sample under synthetic air and nitrogen atmosphere at 10°C/min; b) differential scanning calorimetry, with 10 mg of the sample. The sample underwent a heating process at a rate of 15 °C/min, starting from room temperature and reaching 350 °C, and maintained at this temperature for 5 minutes. Then, the sample was cooled to -80 °C at a rate of 15 °C/min, heated again to 350 °C at a rate of 10 °C/min, and finally cooled to -80 °C at 10 °C/min. (Q200 DSC analyzer, TA Instruments), and c) tensile properties analysis of the samples (5×40 mm at 5 mm/min) (Shimadzu EZ Test Compact Table-Top Universal Tester). Raman spectra were acquired through a confocal AFM-Raman system, namely the Alpha300R – Alpha300A AFM (WITec). The experiments utilized laser radiation at 785 nm with a power output of 2 mW, employing a magnification of 100×. An FT/IR-4200 Jasco spectrometer with an ATR-PRO410-S single reflection accessory was used to record the polymers’ infrared spectra (FTIR).
