Through this selection of drawings, we travel trought the creative journey of the intellectual architect, artist, and master Antonio Fernández Alba. Sketches, drawings, axonometric drawings, perspectives, plans, elevations, and sections; all of them are an example of his uniqueness in the mastery of the technique and the representation systems of architectural drawing. Each drawing takes us to the artistic dimension of the architect, transcending the mere representation of archi-tectural projects and, together, they show us the graphic identity of an architect who throughout his professional career dedicated himself to drawing with passion and profusion in all stages of the architectural project. The collection of drawings accompanying this article demonstrates how the architect’s imaginary forms find in drawing the channel to materialize. The project journey begins with the hesitant yet vibrant strokes of a hand exploring geometries that translate the functional requirements of the project into modern and useful spaces imbued with classical beauty. The plans already express geometries mastered with innovative expertise, combining diverse systems of rep-resentation.Thus, the artist-architect guides us from individual drawings, fragments of the project, to the architecture as a whole, connecting different parts of the building in each piece: sections that are also perspectives, plans that double as axonometric views, elevations laid onto plans, or roof plans elevated above the rest. None of these drawings leave us indifferent; but rather they challenge us to enter their world and explore beyond the drawings themselves.; Através desta seleção de desenhos viajamos pelo itinerário criativo do arquiteto intelectual, artista e professor Antonio Fernández Alba.

<summary type="text">A Fragmented Archive: Reconstruction of the Creative Process of the Spanish Architect Antonio Fernández Alba
Bernal López-Sanvicente, María Amparo
Antonio Fernández Alba (Salamanca 1927-Ma- drid 2024) is one of the main Spanish architects of the 20th century. The archive created by this architect reveals the diverse dimensions of his professional career as an architect, artist, intel- lectual and professor at the Higher Technical School of Architecture of Madrid.&#13;
To delve deeper into his graphic and documen- tary legacy is is a huge and complex task due to the extensive architectural output projected over more than sixty years. During the last years of his professional career, Antonio Fernández Alba made successive donations of the graphic materi- al from his studio to different institutions follow- ing a criterion of trust, but without carrying out a prior planning to guarantee the documentary unity of each project. Nowadays, his archive is dispersed through the Spanish architectural col- lections of the Museum of the Royal Academy of Fine Arts of San Fernando, the National Library of Spain, the Association of Architects of Madrid, the Higher Technical School of Architecture of Madrid, and the architectural collection of the Centre Pompidou in Paris.&#13;
The aim of this paper is to reconstruct the cre¬ative itinerary of three projects through the dif¬ferent collections where his legacy is currently deposited. For this purpose, three representative projects of his creative stages have been select¬ed: the Amsterdam City Hall Competition (1967), the Restoration of the Astronomical Observatory of Madrid (1975) and the Faculty of Law of the Universidad Autónoma of Madrid (1987).&#13;
Tracing the graphic material donated by the ar¬chitect to different archives will allow us to iden¬tify the drawings that belong to each of these projects, document them, and reconstruct their creative process also relying on the texts that are also part of his legacy.

The objective of this bibliographic review of Architectural Graphic Expression (EGA) in the six-year period 2017-2022 is to offer an informative account of its referential theoretical framework, current lines of research and the knowledge transfer from this area of the Spanish university to society. The scientific production by EGA professors in Spain is disseminated through articles in scientific journals and other means of sharing knowledge such as books, congresses, exhibitions and other dissemination activities. Of these references, the books for this bibliographic review have been selected. The monographs and collective publications are the last phase in the communication of the results of a research project. They have a broad and summarised content but accessing it to that knowledge is complex since because many books do not have open digital editions and, therefore, are not indexed by title or keywords like other scientific publications. This text offers the keys to create an updated library where the thematic diversity of EGA is represented, which, since its constitution in 1984, includes history and theory of Shape Analysis, Descriptive Geometry, Architectural Drawing, and the application of its graphic procedures to multidisciplinary heritage research.
