<title>Supplementary tables for "Fighting Spirit, Coping Pathways and Emotional Distress Across Metastatic Status"</title>

<description>Supplementary tables for "Fighting Spirit, Coping Pathways and Emotional Distress Across Metastatic Status"
García Alonso, Elena; Ubillos Landa, Silvia; Crespo Herrero, Guillermo; Teso Martín, Beatriz
This repository record contains supplementary statistical tables associated with a cross-sectional study of 360 adults with cancer. The study examined theory-informed conditional direct and indirect associations between fighting spirit and emotional distress through four selected coping responses - active coping, planning, positive reframing, and acceptance - conditional on metastatic status. The supplementary material reports the complete regression coefficients for the mediator and outcome models and sensitivity analyses using anxiety and depression as separate outcomes. Only aggregate statistical results are included; no participant-level data are deposited.

With the intensifying challenge of global warming driven largely by anthropogenic activities, effective greenhouse gas capture techniques are critical. This paper focuses on the role of deep eutectic solvents (DES) as promising agents for such capture at the source. We review the key DES-based methods for greenhouse gas capture, drawing conclusions from a thorough analysis of the existing literature. In particular, we examine the effect of DES structure on gas solubilities and explore the mechanism of gas solubility in DES through molecular simulation. We present a synthesis of state-of-the-art results in this area, assessing the potential of DES as an alternative to current industrial gas capture methods. Furthermore, we propose future research directions for the design of novel DES tailored to more specific applications.

<title>Dilated residual U-Net with spatial–channel attention for building footprint extraction from UAV imagery in diverse landscapes</title>

<description>Dilated residual U-Net with spatial–channel attention for building footprint extraction from UAV imagery in diverse landscapes
Pham, Dung T.; Tran, Duy X.; Tran, Thuong V.; Latorre Carmona, Pedro; Bruce, David; Zhu, Xuan
Accurate extraction of building footprints from unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) imagery&#13;
is essential for urban planning, infrastructure monitoring, and disaster risk management.&#13;
However, segmentation performance remains challenged by scale variability,&#13;
spectral ambiguity, and partial occlusion in heterogeneous environments. Here, we&#13;
examine the integration of dilated convolution, residual learning, and spatial–channel&#13;
attention within a unified U-Net framework for building footprint extraction. Rather&#13;
than introducing new architectural components, the proposed approach investigates&#13;
how these established mechanisms influence segmentation behaviour across diverse&#13;
landscape conditions. Multi-rate dilated convolution is incorporated in the bottleneck&#13;
stage; residual connections support stable feature propagation, and attention modules&#13;
enhance feature discrimination. The model was evaluated on the WHU Building Dataset&#13;
and a newly developed UAV dataset (HUMG) representing diverse environmental&#13;
conditions in Vietnam. Results showed improved segmentation performance relative&#13;
to U-Net, Feature Pyramid Network, and SegFormer, particularly in dense urban, rural,&#13;
and vegetation-occluded environments. Although the proposed model incurs higher&#13;
computational costs, the additional complexity reflects both increased model capacity&#13;
and integrated architectural design. The findings demonstrate that systematic adaptation&#13;
of established mechanisms can enhance building segmentation robustness in&#13;
high-resolution UAV imagery for offline geospatial applications.
