Introducción: Actualmente debido a la ausencia de marcadores biológicos, el cribado de trastornos&#13;
del espectro autista (TEA) se centra fundamentalmente en la presencia de alteraciones&#13;
conductuales caracterizadas por alteraciones en la interacción social y comunicación verbal y&#13;
no verbal.&#13;
Objetivo: Evaluar los atributos psicométricos de la versión española de la escala de autismo&#13;
Autism-Tics, AD/HD and other Comorbidities Inventory (A-TAC), como medida de cribado de&#13;
TEA.&#13;
Material y métodos: Se incluyó en el estudio a 140 escolares (43% ni˜nos, 57% ni˜nas), de edades&#13;
comprendidas entre los 6 y los 16 a˜nos, con TEA (n = 15), discapacidad intelectual (n = 40),&#13;
enfermedades psiquiátricas (n = 22), tics (n = 12) y participantes controles (n = 51). Se analizaron&#13;
los principales atributos psicométricos como la fiabilidad, asunción escalar, la consistencia&#13;
interna, la precisión y la validez predictiva; Background: As there are no biological markers for Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD), screening&#13;
must focus on behaviour and the presence of a markedly abnormal development or a deficiency&#13;
in verbal and non-verbal social interaction and communication.&#13;
Objective: To evaluate the psychometric attributes of a Spanish version of the autism domain&#13;
of the Autism-Tics, AD/HD and other Comorbidities Inventory (A-TAC) scale for ASD screening.&#13;
Material and methods: A total of 140 subjects (43% male, 57% female) aged 6-16, with ASD&#13;
(n = 15), Mental Retardation (n = 40), Psychiatric Illness (n = 22), Tics (n = 12) and controls (n = 51),&#13;
were included for ASD screening. The predictive validity, acceptability, scale assumptions,&#13;
internal consistency, and precision were analysed.&#13;
Results: The internal consistency was high (  = 0.93), and the standard error was adequate&#13;
(1.13 [95% CI, -1.08 a 3.34]). The mean scores of the Autism module were higher in patients&#13;
diagnosed with ASD and mental disability compared to the rest of the patients (P &lt; .001). The&#13;
area under the curve was 0.96 for the ASD group.&#13;
Conclusion: The autism domain of the A-TAC scale seems to be a reliable, valid and precise tool&#13;
for ASD screening in the Spanish school population

<title>A Prospective Study of Cranial Deformity and Delayed Development in Children</title>

<description>A Prospective Study of Cranial Deformity and Delayed Development in Children
González Santos, Josefa; González Bernal, Jerónimo; Fuente Anuncibay, Raquel de la; Aguilar-Parra, José M.; Trigueros Ramos, Rubén; Soto Cámara, Raúl; López Liria, Remedios
Plagiocephaly, the most common form of cranial deformity, has become more prevalent&#13;
in recent years. Many authors have described a number of sequelae of poorly defined etiologies,&#13;
although several gaps exist in their real scope. This study aimed to analyze the effects of physiotherapy&#13;
treatments and cranial orthoses on the psychomotor development of infants with cranial deformities,&#13;
complemented by protocolized postural exercises applied by the family. This prospective study on&#13;
different developmental areas included a sample of 48 breastfeeding infants aged 6 to 18 months who&#13;
presented with plagiocephaly (flat head syndrome). The Brunet–Lézine scale was used to perform&#13;
three tests for assessing the psychomotor development of infants, thus offering a measure for global&#13;
development. The results suggest that plagiocephaly is a marker for the risk of delayed development,&#13;
particularly in motor and language areas. This delayed development could be improved with&#13;
physiotherapy and orthopedic treatment, complemented by interventions by the infants´ relatives.

<title>Healthy and Balanced Nutrition for Children through Physical Education Classes</title>

<description>Healthy and Balanced Nutrition for Children through Physical Education Classes
Trigueros Ramos, Rubén; González Bernal, Jerónimo; González Bernal, Sergio; Fuente Anuncibay, Raquel de la; Aguilar-Parra, José M.
Introduction. In recent years, the rate of childhood obesity has been on the rise, currently standing at levels close to 20%. This means that one in five children is more likely to suffer from cardiovascular or metabolic diseases. Physical Education classes are therefore an ideal way to raise awareness among children and their families about healthy and balanced eating habits. Method. A total of 113 primary school students, aged 9–12 years, participated in the study. In order to analyze the data, a structural equation model (SEM) was used to analyze the influence between the variables. Results. The SEM results revealed that a controlling social context showed a negative prediction of psychological need satisfaction and a positive prediction of frustration. However, an autonomy supportive social context showed a negative prediction of psychological need satisfaction and a positive prediction of psychological need satisfaction. Frustration of psychological needs was negatively related to motivation, whereas satisfaction was positively related to motivation. In turn, motivation was positively related to each of the factors of the theory of planned behaviour. Finally, intention to follow a healthy diet was positively related to the Mediterranean diet. Discussion. These results revealed the importance of social context and physical education classes in the adoption of a balanced diet.

<title>Functional Outcomes in Upper Limb Replantation—A Systematic Review</title>

<description>Functional Outcomes in Upper Limb Replantation—A Systematic Review
Bueno, Andrea; Nevado Sánchez, Endika; Collazo Riobó, Carla; Fuente Anuncibay, Raquel de la; González Bernal, Jerónimo
Functionality after upper limb replantation is a decisive factor when considering the&#13;
success of the intervention. Therefore, its evaluation is fundamental. The aim of this article was to&#13;
conduct a systematic review of upper limb functions after replantation or reimplantation, seeking&#13;
to identify reported functional outcomes as well as the level and mechanism of injury. To achieve&#13;
this objective, a literature search was conducted in PubMed, ScienceDirect, Cochrane and Web of&#13;
Science. Studies from the last 10 years which included patients with upper limb replantation and&#13;
reported their functional outcomes were included. Out of 523 articles, 12 studies (n = 607) were&#13;
finally included. DASH and CISS were the most commonly used assessments to report functional&#13;
outcomes. In conclusion, functional outcomes after replantation are assessed using widely varying&#13;
scales; therefore, due to this methodological variability, it is difficult to compare functional success&#13;
between studies and further studies on functionality are needed to provide new data.
