Nueva documentación nos informa de que fue construida por varios miembros de la familia Arteaga. Juan de Vallejo y Ochoa de Arteaga figuran como tasadores de la obra. La capilla de planta centralizada y sacristía pone de manifiesto las estrechas relaciones familiares y profesionales de los maestros de obras en la Castilla del siglo XVI. Dos espléndidas rejas comunican el espacio de la capilla con el presbiterio y la nave central. Un bello retablo, construido en 1573, se integra perfectamente en la arquitectura.; The chapel of Santiago and Saint Ana in Saint Mary’s church (Belorado, Burgos) was established by Gonzalo Monte Marrón in 1548 to serve as his burial and that of his family. New documents indicate that it was built by several members of the Arteaga family. Juan de Vallejo and Ochoa de Arteaga acted as the construction appraisers. This central-plan chapel and the adjoining vestry points out to the close relationships, both familial and professional, between XVI th century Castilian master builders. Two splendid iron grilles connect the chapel space with those of the chancel and the central nave. A beautiful altar-piece, made in 1573, is perfectly integrated within the architecture. Es este uno de los textos olvidados de la escritora, que ve ahora la luz, en el que dibuja a San Amaro a través de un relato en el que confluyen las leyendas existentes sobre el santo, cuyo sepulcro se encuentra en la ermita de su advocación, junto al Hospital del Rey de Burgos. Al hilo de la historia, Gil de Velasco dibuja el Camino de Santiago y dos escenas de la vida del popularmente llamado «pelegrino».; The burgalese illustrator Luis Gil de Vicario (1898-1959) and the Generation of '27 writer María Teresa León (1903-1988), born in Rioja but burgalese at heart, coincided at the weekly publication from Madrid Por esos mundos (By those words), subtitled Revista semanal y Revista de todo para todos (Weekly magazine and Every thing for everyone magazine), where María Teresa León published the tale Amaro «el Pelegrino» (Amaro the Pilgrim) whiwh Gil de Vicario illustrated. This is one of the forgotten texts from the writer, which arises now, in which San Amaro is portraited through a story in wich the historic legends about the saint, whose sepulchre is located at the shrine of his name near the Hospital del Rey (King's Hos pital) in Burgos, conflude.
