El presente trabajo de investigación es un minucioso recorrido en la búsqueda definitiva de los auténticos orígenes del núcleo urbano burgalés, libre de todo tipo de prejuicios, primando el minucioso análisis de un completo compendio de parámetros técnicos que nos permitan poder despejar de una vez para siempre los numerosos interrogantes que de manera histórica todavía se incrustan sobre los oscuros orígenes de la ciudad de Burgos. La importancia de esta búsqueda deriva de su implicación directa en la génesis de su trama urbana y en el posterior desarrollo a través del tiempo de su morfología específica, posibilitando de esta manera el conocimiento definitivo de los sistemas estructurantes que han moldeado desde sus comienzos la silueta de la ciudad burgalesa.
This research work is a detailed journey in the definitive search of the authentic origins of the urban core of Burgos, free of all kinds of prejudices, giving priority to the analysis of a complete compendium of technical parameters that allow us to clear once and for all the numerous questions that are still embedded historically on the obscure origins of the city of Burgos. The importance of this search derives from its direct involvement in the genesis of its urban fabric and in the subsequent development over time of its specific morphology, enabling the definitive knowledge of the structuring systems that have molded the silhouette of the city from its beginnings.
