El objeto de este estudio se centra en efectuar una valoración global, no sólo jurídico-administrativa, de la situación actual de los residuos nucleares en España, y ello tras el debate abierto con la aprobación, por el Consejo de Seguridad
Nuclear, del Informe favorable a la instalación del Almacén Temporal Centralizado (ATC) en Villar de Cañas (Cuenca); así como con el inicio por el Gobierno de Castilla-La Mancha de un procedimiento para incluir en la Red Natura
2000 el territorio donde éste debe construirse. Una vez más, se escribe otra página del debate por la energía nuclear en España, ahora no en el ámbito de las
centrales nucleares en funcionamiento, sino en referencia a las instalaciones que
tienen que gestionar sus residuos radiactivos.
The purpose of this global study focuses, on not only perform a legal and
administrative assessment, of the current radioactive wastes situation in
Spain, and that after the open debate with the approval, by the Nuclear Safety
Council, a favourable report to the installation of Centralised Temporary
Storage (CTS) in Villar de Cañas (Cuenca); and whith the beginning of the
Government of Castilla-La Mancha a procedure to be included in the Natura
2000 Network, the territory where it should be built. Once again, It writes
another page of the debate about nuclear energy in Spain, now not in the field
of operating nuclear power plants, but in reference to the facilities they need
to management their radioactive wastes.
