La base fundamental de esta literatura la encontramos en el mundo precolombino, en las raíces indígenas; pero no hay que olvidar que Perú es una nación constituida por el mestizaje. Por eso, resulta interesante conocer la etapa en la que se unieron la cultura indígena y la española formando un nexo común que dio lugar a una expresión artística muy característica: El estilo colonial. Este artículo trata sobre la literatura en estas épocas fundamentales y pone de relevancia los escritores más destacados de cada uno de estos momentos literarios. Peruvian literature has a long his tory that begins in indigenous orality and comes to the present day. The fundamental bas is of this literature is found in the Pre-Columbian world, in the indigenous roots ; But do not forget that Peru is a nation cons tituted by the cross-breeding.
