The study examined theory-informed conditional direct and indirect associations between fighting spirit and emotional distress through four selected coping responses - active coping, planning, positive reframing, and acceptance - conditional on metastatic status. The supplementary material reports the complete regression coefficients for the mediator and outcome models and sensitivity analyses using anxiety and depression as separate outcomes.
