... Y llovió en Los Arbejales, de Orlando Hernández: el costumbrismo lingüistico: proceso de creación y edición crítica

Este trabajo de investigación analiza los aspectos lingüísticos del español de
Canarias en la obra costumbrista …Y llovió en Los Arbejales, del autor grancanario
Orlando Hernández Martín, el proceso creador de la misma y su edición crítica. Se han
aplicado herramientas computacionales sobre el texto mecanografiado y las dos ediciones
publicadas para extraer material de estos subcorpus que sirvan para delimitar las palabras
distintivas, su riqueza léxica, la frecuencia y variedad, así como algunas cuestiones sobre
la oralidad y fenómenos populares. Desde la clasificación que estableció Quintiliano
(detractio, adiectio, transmutatio e immutatio), se exponen las variantes que formuló el
dramaturgo en el texto mecanografiado y aquellas definitivas que estableció en la primera
edición (1968), las justificaciones de los usos de estas y la simbología utilizada para
aclarar el proceso creativo de una obra literaria.
This research deals with the analysis of the linguistic aspects of the Spanish
spoken in The Canary Islands through the costumbrista play named ... Y llovió en Los
Arbejales, written by Orlando Hernández Martín, a playwright from Gran Canaria. The
process followed during this work creation and its critical edition will be also analysed.
The typed text as well as the two published editions have been treated with the
computational tools, in order to obtain not only relevant data about distinctive words,
lexical variety, frequency and variety of usage but also some questions about orality and
popular phenomena. Up to the classification established by Quintiliano (detractio,
adiectio, transmutatio and immutatio), the variations expressed by the author in his typed
text and those included in the first edition are explained. Reasons for using such variations
and symbols used to clarify the creative process of a literary work are also added.
