Esta tesis investigó hasta qué punto se evidencia un aprendizaje significativo del conocimiento de ecuaciones y gráficos en 21 estudiantes del primer semestre del curso de Administración en una universidad privada en Santa María, Rio Grande do Sul, Brasil, bajo el apoyo de la Teoría del Aprendizaje Significativo de Ausubel y la de los Campos Conceptuales, de Vergnaud. La metodología adoptada fue cualitativa, en la que se construyó una Unidad de Enseñanza Potencialmente Significativa (UEPS), propuesta por Moreira, que incluía situaciones en Matemáticas, en línea con el área administrativa. Los registros producidos por los estudiantes fueron analizados a la luz de las teorías y proporcionaron indicadores de que los participantes que más mostraron señales de estar en el camino hacia aprendizajes significativos y avances en el dominio del campo conceptual en cuestión fueron los mismos para los cuales la UEPS mostró más éxito. Como resultado, la Unidad de Enseñanza promovió diferentes niveles de éxito.
This doctoral thesis investigated the extent to which evidence of meaningful learning of knowledge of equations and graphs occurred in 21 students of the first semester of the Administration course at a private university in Santa Maria, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil, within the framework of the Theory of Meaningful Learning by Ausubel and the one of Conceptual Fields, by Vergnaud. The methodology adopted was qualitative, in which a Potentially Meaningful Teaching Unit (PMTU) was constructed, as proposed by Moreira, which included situations in Mathematics, in line with the administration area. The records produced by the students were analyzed in the light of the theories and provided indicators that the participants who showed more signs of being on the way to meaningful learning and advances in the domain of the conceptual field in question were the same ones for which the PMTU showed to be more successful. As a result, the Teaching Unit promoted different levels of success.
