Rilova Pérez, Isaac Edad Contemporánea Siglo XIX España Guerra de la Independencia Comarca del noroeste de Burgos Contemporary Age 19th Century Spain Peninsular War Burgos northwestern region La comarca del Oeste burgalés fue escenario, durante la Guerra de la Independencia, no de grandes acciones bélicas, sino de pequeñas batallas, escaramuzas y ataques por sorpresa, de un incesante tránsito de tropas de diversa índole, españolas, francesas, inglesas y partidas guerrilleras, acontecimientos que significaron el despojo, la destrucción y el saqueo de todo el territorio. En el presente trabajo se pretende reconstruir fundamentalmente la historia de la ocupación francesa de la comarca con especial incidencia en los acontecimientos bélicos sucedidos en su territorio y la secuela de muertes, destrucciones, saqueos, incendios y requisas que el ejército invasor, de manera especial, pero también la guerrilla y los aliados, llevaron a cabo por nuestra geografía comarcal. During the Peninsular War, the western region of Burgos was the scene, not of big war actions, but of small battles, skirmishes and surprise attacks, a never-ending traffic of all kinds of troops, Spanish, French, English and guerrilla forces, which meant the spoliation, destruction and plunder of the whole area.
