La zona burgalesa de Las Merindades desempeñó un importante protagonismo histórico que encuentra elocuente manifestación
en su patrimonio. El rasgo principal es la integración de paisaje
y arquitectura en una sugestiva combinación reelaborada bajo la
in fluencia barroca. De ahí el interés de la documentación hallada que
permite comprender el marco cultural, obras, promotores y profesionales,
en el que tiene lugar y favorece su puesta en valor como recurso
destacado para su actual desarrollo.
The area of Burgos called Las Merindades played an
important historic protagonism that finds an eloquent expression
in its cultural heritage. The principal feature is the integration of
landscape and architecture in a suggestive combination re-elaborated
under the Baroque influence. Hence the interest of the information
found that allows understanding the cultural atmosphere of
the oeuvres, promoters and professionals in which it develops and
in which it increases its value as a remarkable resort towards its
current development.
