En este artículo se identifica a los artífices de los monumentos
funerarios que sirvieron para solemnizar las exequias de los
Austrias celebradas en Burgos durante los siglos XVI y XVII y se
analiza su función en la transmisión de unos mensajes muy concretos,
dentro del contexto de estas manifestaciones de exaltación de la
monarquía y de la fe católica.
This article identifies the makers of funeral monuments,
which were used for solemnize the Austrias’ royal exequies in Burgos
during the 16th and 17th centuries. Besides, it is analyzed their
function that is to transmit a very concrete information in the context
of these demonstrations to exalt monarchy and catholic faith.
