La Tierra Pinariega es una comarca forestal situada
en las provincias de Burgos y Soria (España). Hasta el siglo XIX
sus habitantes se dedicaron a la venta de madera de sus montes y al
transporte de productos de valor estratégico con carretas arrastradas
por bueyes en gran parte del territorio peninsular de España.
Desde el siglo XX a la actividad silvícola se ha unido el desarrollo
de una industria de primera transformación de la madera.
The Tierra Pinariega is a forest region located in the
provinces of Burgos and Soria (Spain). Until the 19th century, its
inhabitants dedicated themselves to the sale of wood from its forest
and the transport of products of strategic value with ox-drawn
carts in much of the peninsular territory of Spain. Since the 20th
century, silvicultural activity has been joined by the development of
an industry for the first transformation of wood.
