El humor es consustancial a la naturaleza humana y ha cautivado a filósofos e investigadores
de todas las disciplinas. Su estudio en España desde el campo de la Lingüística Aplicada ha
sido especialmente prominente en las dos últimas décadas, pero tiene un papel más secundario
en el ámbito de la Didáctica de ELE y, por ende, en la formación de futuros docentes. Las
nuevas plataformas digitales, además, han acarreado una profunda transformación de los
géneros humorísticos que apenas se ha reflejado en la investigación. El presente Trabajo Fin de
Máster pretende tender puentes entre la investigación y la docencia, así como ahondar en la
idiosincrasia del humor digital, ejemplificado en el humor multimodal del dúo cómico
Pantomima Full. Para ello, se ofrece una revisión bibliográfica que incluye el vínculo entre la
conciencia metapragmática y el humor verbal; un marco general para el estudio del humor,
desde la Antigüedad hasta los memes, desarrollando especialmente la Teoría General del
Humor Verbal (TGHV) de Attardo y Raskin y la Teoría de la Relevancia (TR) de Sperber y
Wilson; y un análisis exhaustivo de la literatura sobre el uso y enseñanza del humor en LE/L2,
como punto de partida para los docentes de ELE interesados en la materia. Esta revisión
bibliográfica se complementa con un apartado práctico que aúna la teoría con la práctica
docente. Con el fin de comprobar la aplicabilidad de la TGHV y la TR al humor multimodal de
Pantomima Full, seleccionamos tres vídeos para su análisis teórico que, una vez analizados, se
emplean en tres propuestas de explotación didáctica para los niveles A2, B1 y B2 del MCER
en el aula de ELE.
Humor is inherent to the human condition and has captivated philosophers and researchers from
all disciplines. In Spain, it has been studied in the field of Applied Linguistics, especially
prominently over the past two decades, but has a secondary role in SFL Didactics research and,
consequently, in pre-service teacher training. On top of that, the new digital platforms have
entailed an intense transformation of humorous genres, hardly reflected in research. This
Master’s Thesis aims to bridge the gap between research and teaching, while also looking into
the specificities of digital humor, embodied in the multimodal humor of the comic duo
Pantomima Full. In this regard, a bibliographic review is provided, covering the link between
metapragmatic awareness and verbal humor; a general framework for the study of humor, from
the theories of Antiquity to memes, with a focus on the General Theory of Verbal Humor
(GTVH) of Attardo & Raskin and Sperber & Wilson’s Relevance Theory; and an exhaustive
analysis of the literature on humor use and teaching in LE/L2 contexts, as a starting point for
SFL teachers interested in the subject. This bibliographical review is complemented by a
practical section in which theory and teaching practice are combined. In order to verify the
applicability of the GTVH and the Relevance Theory to the multimodal humor of Pantomima
Full, three videos have been selected for their theoretical analysis that, once analyzed, are used
in the proposal of three didactic sequences for levels A2, B1 and B2 of the CEFR in the SFL
classroom.
