<dim:field mdschema="dc" element="description" qualifier="abstract" lang="es">El desarrollo del ferrocarril en España arranca a mediados del s. XIX como servicio esencialmente enfocado&#xd;
para el transporte de mercancías. Poco a poco fueron apareciendo multitud de compañías que se diseminaron por todo&#xd;
el país, trazando un mapa ferroviario escasamente vertebrado territorialmente. De forma paralela, la comunicación&#xd;
estratégica y corporativa del ferrocarril se desarrolló a partir de la nacionalización y aparición de Renfe en 1941.&#xd;
Anterior a este hecho, la preocupación por la imagen del este nuevo sistema de transporte de cara a la sociedad fue&#xd;
prácticamente nula, por lo que su incidencia se circunscribía a la comunicación que los periódicos o revistas de la&#xd;
época reflejaban en sus páginas. Con la nacionalización y el nacimiento del monopolio ferroviario, tanto las&#xd;
estrategias de comunicación como la publicidad ligada evolucionaron, si bien no fue hasta la década de los 70 cuando&#xd;
comienzan a lanzarse verdaderas campañas de imagen corporativa y de producto.</dim:field>
<dim:field mdschema="dc" element="description" qualifier="abstract" lang="en">The development of the railway in Spain began in the middle of the s. XIX as a service essentially for the&#xd;
transport of goods. Little by little a multitude of companies appeared that spread, drawing a railway map with little&#xd;
territorially structure. In parallel, the strategic and corporate communication of the railroad developed especially from&#xd;
the appearance of Renfe in 1941. Prior to this fact, the concern for the image of this new transport system in the face of&#xd;
society was practically nil, so its incidence was limited to the communication that the newspapers or magazines of the&#xd;
time reflected on their pages. With the nationalization and the birth of the railway monopoly, both communication&#xd;
strategies and related advertising evolved, although it was not until the 1970s that true corporate image and product&#xd;
campaigns began to be launched.</dim:field>
