The objective of the research is to recycle waste sawdust, polystyrene, PET plastic bottles,
TBP plastic bags, crush them and incorporate them into the production of two types of
blocks: adobe and lightened concrete, to evaluate their resistance, thermal and acoustic
characteristics.
The blocks in the resistance parameter were tested in a compression machine.
For the acoustic and thermal tests, a chamber was built with fiberglass panels and
insulating material, placing a heat or sound source according to the test, to later install the
sensors in the rooms and the masonry, obtaining the response data. thermal and sound of
the samples.
The adobe blocks with the best results were those that incorporated 15% of the different
added materials, while the lightened concrete blocks that presented the best performance
were those that had 25% of material in their composition.
