<dim:field mdschema="dc" element="description" qualifier="abstract" lang="es">Para superar el modelo de déficit en la enseñanza de la prehistoria, este estudio presenta una metodología definida como una práctica performática para la enseñanza de la prehistoria, compuesta por recursos y estrategias tales como el cuento motor, el juego dramático, la didáctica del objeto y las simulaciones. El objetivo de la investigación es desarrollar una metodología poliarticulada para la enseñanza de la prehistoria basada en la comprensión del modo de vida del Homo neanderthalensis. Se parte del paradigma sociocrítico y con enfoque mixto cualitativo-cuantitativo se analiza la incidencia de esta metodología en una muestra de 176 alumnos de Educación Primaria. Los resultados expresan que la  práctica performática ofrece niveles óptimos de comprensión de la temporalidad remota, en un contexto de construcción colectiva del conocimiento, de dialogicidad y motivación. Al mismo tiempo, se invita a reflexionar sobre la importancia de implicar al cuerpo y al movimiento para el desarrollo del pensamiento (pre)histórico en las clases de Ciencias Sociales.</dim:field>
<dim:field mdschema="dc" element="description" qualifier="abstract" lang="en">To overcome the deficit model in the teaching of prehistory, this study presents a methodology defined as a performative practice for the teaching of prehistory; and it is composed and by resources and strategies such as motor storytelling, dramatic play, object-based learning and simulations. The aim of the research is to develop a polyarticulated methodology for the teaching of prehistory based on understandingof the way of life of Homo neanderthalensis. It is based on the socio-critical paradigm and  the incidence of this methodology is analysed in a sample of 176 primary school pupils using a mixed qualitative-quantitative approach. The results express that performative practice offers optimal levels of understanding of remote temporality in a context of collective knowledge construction, dialogue and motivation. At the same time, it is invited to reflect on the importance of involving the body and movement for the development of (pre)historical thinking in Social Studies classes.</dim:field>
