The House of the Towers in Tembleque is a baroque palace built in the mid-18th century by order of Antonio Fernández Alejo (1707-1780), a nobleman from Toledo who amassed a fortune as a book merchant in the viceroyalty of New Spain. This article exposes the history of this ancestral house, which, despite its current state of abandonment waiting for a quick rehabilitation, has been the most notable civil building in the town for almost three centuries.
