El trabajo analiza el desarrollo legal del derecho al ingreso mínimo vital como prestación asistencial de la Seguridad Social y algunos de los elementos que integran su contenido. También examina algunos problemas sobre la compatibilidad del ingreso mínimo vital con las rentas mínimas de inserción social de las Comunidades Autónomas, conforme al sistema de distribución de competencias establecido por la jurisprudencia del Tribunal Constitucional. The protection of the most vulnerable people in situations of economic and social need is a constitutional order addressed to the public powers. The paper analyzes the legal development of the right to the minimum living rent as a Social Insurance assistance benefit and some of the elements that make up its content.
