Este trabajo de investigación se enfoca en la educación afectivo-sexual en el
contexto de la Educación Primaria, explorando las percepciones y experiencias de los y las
docentes. La justificación de este estudio radica en la importancia de la educación afectivosexual como componente fundamental del desarrollo social y personal de los y las
estudiantes. Los hallazgos revelan que los y las maestras enfrentan numerosos desafíos
para integrar estos contenidos en su práctica diaria debido a la falta de formación específica
y recursos, la resistencia de las familias y los tabúes culturales, entre otros. Para alcanzar
los objetivos del estudio, se empleó una metodología cualitativa. Así, se realizaron
entrevistas en profundidad con docentes de Educación Primaria para obtener una
comprensión detallada de las vivencias, creencias y desafíos enfrentados por los y las
profesoras al abordar la educación afectivo-sexual en el aula, así como identificar posibles
estrategias para fortalecer esta enseñanza en el ámbito escolar. Los resultados de la
investigación se alinean con estudios previos que enfatizan la importancia de una educación
afectivo-sexual bien estructurada y respaldada institucionalmente, la cual puede contribuir
significativamente al bienestar social, emocional y personal, y al desarrollo integral de los
y las estudiantes. Por último, las entrevistas realizadas ofrecen una visión profunda sobre
la complejidad y relevancia de este tema en el contexto actual, evidenciando la necesidad
de continuar investigando y promoviendo la educación afectivo-sexual en los ámbitos
académico, político y social para garantizar el bienestar y desarrollo pleno de todas las
personas.
This research focuses on affective-sexual education in the context of primary
education, exploring the perceptions and experiences of teachers. The rationale for this
study lies in the importance of affective-sexual education as a fundamental component of
students' social and personal development. The findings reveal that teachers face numerous
challenges in integrating this content into their daily practice due to lack of specific training,
family resistance and cultural taboos, among others. In order to achieve the objectives of
the study, a qualitative methodology was used. Thus, in-depth interviews were conducted
with elementary school teachers to obtain a detailed understanding of the experiences,
beliefs and challenges faced by teachers when addressing affective-sexual education in the
classroom, as well as to identify possible strategies to strengthen this teaching in the school
environment. The results of the research are in line with previous studies that emphasize
the importance of a well-structured and institutionally supported affective-sexual
education, which can contribute significantly to the social, emotional and personal wellbeing and integral development of students. Finally, the interviews conducted offer a deep
insight into the complexity and relevance of this topic in the current context, evidencing
the need to continue researching and promoting affective-sexual education in the academic,
political and social spheres in order to guarantee the well-being and full development of all
people.
