La adquisición de un idioma es la asimilación natural de sus reglas y léxico. Uno
de los investigadores de mayor importancia respecto a la adquisición de idiomas es
Krashen, quien propone la hipótesis del input, en la que se afirma que si el alumnado
recibe inputs comprensibles, su nivel en la lengua mejorará. Hay múltiples métodos
didácticos que hacen uso del input comprensible, y aquí se expondrán algunos de ellos.
Sin embargo, las metodologías que usan el input comprensible también tienen
inconvenientes como pueden ser la facilidad que cualquier persona tiene para subir
contenido a internet y la poca fiabilidad de la información presente en internet que esto
conlleva, los pocos materiales creados para estos métodos, las diferencias culturales, o
la falta de formación del profesorado. Como a pesar de ello, buena parte de estos
inconvenientes pueden ser solventados por el docente, en este trabajo se analizarán
dichos problemas y se buscarán posibles soluciones a ellos, como pueden ser aclarar
conceptos previamente, fomentar la creación de materiales propios por parte de los
docentes, o integrar conocimientos culturales en la actividad del aula.
Language acquisition is the natural assimilation of the rules and lexicon of a language. One of the most important researchers on language acquisition is Krashen, who
proposes the input hypothesis, which states that if learners receive comprehensible input, their language level will improve. There are many teaching methods that make use
of comprehensible input, and some of them will be presented here. However, the methodologies that use comprehensible input also have drawbacks such as the ease with
which anyone can upload content to the Internet and the unreliability of the information
present on the Internet that this entails, the few materials created for these methods, cultural differences, or the lack of teacher training. Despite this, many of these drawbacks
can be solved by the teacher, so this paper will analyse these problems and look for possible solutions to them, such as clarifying concepts beforehand, encouraging teachers to
create their own materials, or integrating cultural knowledge into classroom activity.
