La digitalización como medio de reconstrucción del patrimonio se abre camino cada vez
más en la actualidad. El presente trabajo tiene como objetivo principal reconstruir un
gemelo digital del Penal de Valdenoceda que represente las instalaciones de la cárcel
durante sus años en funcionamiento. Para ello, se hará un estado de la cuestión y se
presentarán la metodología correcta y las herramientas necesarias y adecuadas para hacer
un proyecto de esta índole. Además, se pretende demostrar que a través de edificios
aparentemente irrelevantes en estado de abandono y a punto de desaparecer se puede
reconstruir parte de historia y hechos de nuestro pasado más reciente. Con ello, se dará
importancia a las nuevas tecnologías y la digitalización como forma de preservar y
reconstruir el patrimonio.
Para conseguir una reconstrucción fiel, la técnica empleada se fundamenta en la
comparativa de varios tipos de documentación en los que se han buscado y comparado
distintos métodos ya usados con el fin de obtener una guía acorde al trabajo. De esta forma
y para recrear una maqueta en 3D del penal, se han empleado fuentes históricas y gráficas,
consultadas en distintos archivos y fuentes oficiales. También se han tenido en cuenta
testimonios y material audiovisual actual de las instalaciones que han servido de apoyo
al momento de realizar la reconstrucción.
Digitization as a means of heritage reconstruction is increasingly gaining ground
nowadays. The main objective of this work is to reconstruct a digital twin of the
Valdenoceda Prison that represents the prison facilities during its years of operation. For
this purpose, a state of the question will be made and the correct methodology and the
necessary and appropriate tools to make a project of this nature will be presented. In
addition, it is intended to demonstrate that through apparently irrelevant buildings in a
state of abandonment and about to disappear, it is possible to reconstruct part of the
history and events of our most recent past. With this, importance will be given to new
technologies and digitization as a way to preserve and reconstruct heritage.
To achieve a faithful reconstruction, the technique used is based on the comparison of
various types of documentation in which different methods already used have been searched and compared in order to obtain a guide according to the work. In this way and
in order to recreate a 3D model of the prison, historical and graphic sources have been
used, consulted in different archives and official sources. We have also taken into account
testimonies and current audiovisual material of the facilities that have served as support
at the time of reconstruction.
