Se trata de conocer quiénes fueron sus protagonistas y sus motivaciones, así como de comparar sus acciones con otros movimientos coetáneos que también generaron violencia y fomentaron los desórdenes. Estamos en un momento transcendental de la historia, el gran Imperio Romano está a punto de colapsar. La etapa histórica, conocida como Antigüedad, será reemplazada gradualmente por lo que se conoce como Edad Media, con su problemática y sus circunstancias. The goal of this work is to provide the available information on the Bagaudic movement that took place mainly in the Province of Tarraco in late antique Hispania in the mid- 5th century. The aim is to understand who its protagonists and their motivations were, as well as to compare their actions with other contemporary movements that also generated violence and fostered disorder. We are at a transcendental moment in history, the great Roman Empire is on the verge of collapse.
