Consumo responsable: ¿alternativa o necesidad?
Ayuso Castrillo, Enrique
The most recent studies on environmental issues shed truly worrying figures about the environmental deterioration caused by human beings and their activities as well as the progressive depletion of resources if we continue with the current consumption rate. The present social crisis in the form of poverty and inequality that humanity suffers has a close relation with the way many corporations manage their way to operate and which on the other hand we argue with the consumption. Before this problem arises responsible consumption as an alternative to the current mode of consumption, adding to the act of consumption reflection and appreciating the possible consequences that our purchase can involve economic, social and environmental. Society experiences a growing understanding of this concept, associated mostly with environmental aspects. Attitudes such as recycling and the acquisition of natural products and energy efficiency began to acquire protagonism in the manner of work of many
Spanish citizens, however, the lack of information on "Responsible Consumption", and the difficulties in the form of high price and lack of access to a series of products with responsible characteristics market traditional attributes price quality and brand remain decisive in choosing a product.
