The intervention consisted of an individualized physical activityprogram in which university students accompanied a sedentary person for one month, with a minimumcommitment of three hours per week. Two Likert-scale questionnaires were validated through the Delphi method(W = 0.75). The sample included 419 accompanied participants (62.1% women; M = 37; SD = 17) and 386accompaniers (47.7% women; M = 27; SD = 6). Pre-intervention results revealed that men scored higher onmotivation-related items towards PA, whereas women exhibited higher levels of empathy. Post-interventionanalyses showed significant improvements (p < .05) in 85% of the items assessed for accompaniers, alongside ageneral increase in favorable responses among accompanied participants. Nevertheless, gender differencesremained. The program demonstrated its effectiveness in enhancing IPA, fostering the development of selfdetermined motivation for PA, and promoting socio-emotional competencies PB Universidad de Almeria YR 2026 FD 2026-03 LK https://hdl.handle.net/10259/12065 UL https://hdl.handle.net/10259/12065 LA eng DS Repositorio Institucional de la Universidad de Burgos RD 10-sep-2026
