Breve apunte sobre Tito Liviano, el burgalés de Oña remedo de Benito Pérez Galdós

Abstract

La tercera, cuarta, quinta y sexta novelas de la quinta y última serie de los Episodios Nacionales, de Benito Pérez Galdós (1843–1920), tituladas Amadeo I, La I República, De Cartago a Sagunto y Cánovas, tienen por protagonista a Proteo Liviano, Tito Liviano, un burgalés de Oña, que es remedo del propio Galdós. A través de él narra el escritor las sensaciones que le produjo la ceguera, que le impidió concluir esta serie.

The third, fourth, fifth and sixth novels of the fifth and last series of the National Episodes, by Benito Pérez Galdós (1843-1920), titled Amadeo I, La I República, De Cartago a Sagunto y Cánovas have Proteo Liviano as a protagonist, who is a burgalese from Oña and an imitation of Galdós. The writer narrates through him the feelings he got from his blindness, which didn’t allow him to finish this series.
