Resumo
In this paper we present a technique for code acquisition in optical code-division multiple-access (OCDMA) systems using the recently introduced Random Optical Codes (ROCs). We divide the communication system in two parts: a synchronization preamble and data transmission. We have defined and studied the multicorrelation for ROCs. Based on it, several models for the synchronization of the system are proposed. Finally, one of them have been found as the robust. It is the first model for the synchronization of the rencently introduced family, ROC, and this one constitutes a compromise between reliability and acquisition time.
