    Abstract
Queerness is an expresion or response that goes beyond the limits established within the dichotomies of gender (man-woman) and sex (homo-hetero). Queerness is an umbrella term used to represent a space that suggests diversity as well as unity. Queerness can also present intersections and combinations of more than one specific from of sexuality. Nowadays, when gayness, lesbianism, bisexuality and straightness do not hold the gender-unifying essence that they once might have had, queerness becomes, in my opinion, a valuable concept to refer to various models, bonds and subjectivities in clutures such as India.
