Propuesta multimedia para la divulgación de la pintura prerrafaelita

Abstract

Las nuevas tecnologías han abierto un canal comunicativo entre el patrimonio y el espectador, que, a través de las innovadoras herramientas, adquiere un papel más activo. Consiguen adaptar el patrimonio a una nueva forma de consumo y una nueva visualidad predominante en la sociedad actual. Sin embargo, parece que la distancia entre nuevas tecnologías y patrimonio pictórico es mayor que con otras tipologías patrimoniales dada su característica intrínseca de bidimensionalidad. Este Trabajo de Fin de Máster analiza las tendencias divulgativas de patrimonio pictórico basadas en nuevas tecnologías y propone un proyecto multimedia para el caso concreto de la pintura prerrafaelita, un tipo de pintura británica decimonónica surgida en la época victoriana como reacción a las estrictas normas creativas de la Royal Academy of Arts. Esta corriente pictórica, encabezada por los artistas Dante Gabriel Rossetti, John Everett Millais y William Holman Hunt, revolucionó las tendencias artísticas del país y su influencia perduró más de un siglo.

New technologies have opened a communication channel between heritage and the spectator, who, through innovative tools, acquires a more active role. They manage to adapt heritage to a new form of consumption and a new way of looking, predominant in today's society. However, it seems that the distance between new technologies and pictorial heritage is bigger than the distance with other heritage typologies, due to its intrinsic characteristic of two-dimensionality. This Master's thesis analyzes the trends in the disclosure of pictorial heritage based on new technologies and proposes a multimedia project for the specific case of Pre-Raphaelite painting, a type of nineteenth-century British painting that emerged in the Victorian era as a reaction to the strict creative rules of the Royal Academy of Arts. This pictorial style, led by the artists Dante Gabriel Rossetti, John Everett Millais and William Holman Hunt, revolutionized the country's artistic trends and its influence lasted more than a century.
