dc.description.abstractPolysubstituted quinolines have beenefficiently synthesized from nitroarenes and glycols,as reducing agents, under dioxomolybdenum(VI)-catalysis. Interestingly, the waste reduction byprod-uct is incorporated into the final heterocycle. Thismethod represents an efficient and sustainablevariant of the Friedla ̈nder synthesis of quinolines.en
